We froze the current ARKTOR control-layer candidate only after it passed a 96/96 Rust acceptance gate.
The number matters less than the process behind it: a frozen candidate, defined acceptance criteria, held-out evaluation, failure cases and real integration evidence.
Why freeze a candidate
Without a checkpoint, every new fix changes what “passed” means. Freezing the candidate gave us a stable object to evaluate and a clean boundary for future regressions.
What the gate does prove
It proves the candidate passed the retained engineering suite at that checkpoint. It does not prove every model, task or deployment will behave perfectly.
What we stopped publishing
Earlier notes went too far into the internal coordination mechanism. The useful public information is the acceptance result, the environment and the limitation — not the proprietary state machine or recovery policy.
